Draw what rest looks like for your specific body

Not the rest you think you should want. The rest your body is actually asking for right now. Stillness, movement, warmth, water, silence — what does yours need today?

This prompt is about returning to the body and the present moment. Breathe first.

Before you begin

Body check-in

01

Feel your feet on the floor. Press them down gently before you pick up a mark-making tool.

02

Take three slow breaths. Let the exhale be longer than the inhale.

03

If your mind wanders, return to the sensation of the tool in your hand.

These are invitations, not instructions. Take what is useful.

While you work

Sit with these

  1. 01

Where in your body do you feel most at home?

  2. 02

What is your body trying to tell you that you have been ignoring?

  3. 03

What would it feel like to fully inhabit yourself right now?

You do not have to answer these. Let them sit beside you while you work.

After you finish

A moment of closing

01Look at what you made

Not to judge it. Just to see it. What is there that you did not expect?

02Notice how you feel

Different from when you started? The same? Neither is wrong. Just notice.

03Acknowledge yourself

You showed up. You made something. That is the whole practice. That is enough.
