Write and illustrate one true thing about yourself that you rarely say aloud

Not a confession. A truth. Something you know about yourself that gets crowded out by the noise of other people's opinions. Say it here, in your own handwriting, in your own marks.

This prompt is an act of care. Treat yourself the way you would treat someone you love.

Before you begin

Body check-in

01

Make yourself a warm drink before you begin, if you can.

02

Speak kindly to yourself while you work — out loud if it helps.

03

When you finish, acknowledge that you showed up. That is enough.

These are invitations, not instructions. Take what is useful.

While you work

Sit with these

  1. 01

What would you say to a friend who felt this way?

  2. 02

Which part of yourself is hardest to be kind to, and why?

  3. 03

What does this part of you need most right now?

You do not have to answer these. Let them sit beside you while you work.

After you finish

A moment of closing

01Look at what you made

Not to judge it. Just to see it. What is there that you did not expect?

02Notice how you feel

Different from when you started? The same? Neither is wrong. Just notice.

03Acknowledge yourself

You showed up. You made something. That is the whole practice. That is enough.
